Shamrocks and Shin Guards

Josh brought home some shin guards for the kids for some impromptu soccer practice.

On St. Patricks Day, we took the kiddos shopping, out to eat at an Irish pub, and of course, got all decked out in green.

Walter and Gus had matching T shirts!

Hazel helping with bathtime.

Hazel and I shopping this weekend.

Parker came over and played while Brandon and Josh went to the OP to watch some basketball this weekend.

Biiiiiig yawn!

The kids were a little restless so we took them to McDonalds for some ice cream and playland. They get so cooped up in our tiny little house- especially since it has been raining the last few days and they can't go outside.

Just a normal day of small children crawling all over me.

Um, can you say the most handsome baby you've ever seen?!?!

Brotherly Love.

Earlier today- laughing at me. He is smiling all the time now. Such a cutie pie!

Ponytails and Potty Training

 Finally a ponytail!

Our Oh So Big baby boy!

Helping us vacuum the floor. Gus is talking, talking, talking lately. He has an opinion on everything. He is so funny to listen to sometimes. He always says the work 'totally' as in 'I would totally do that mommy'. It is hilarious. This morning he pointed to his scab on his knee that is almost gone and said, "Look mom- God is making new skin for me!" Then he looked up to the sky and yelled, "Thank you God!". Seriously, where does he come up with this stuff?

Enjoying some 82 degree weather today!

I hate potty training. Hazel is borderline ready, at best. But she is very interested and always wants to try. This weekend she took off her diaper and pooped on her bedroom floor. Not only infuriating- but GROSS!

Gangsta Girl

Earlier today, snugly and clean after a good, long bath.

Smiles and Sunshine!

Sorry Josh (I told him I wouldn't blog this one!). But it is just too darn cute of Hazel not to...

He's been teasing us for a few weeks, but Walter is finally starting to smile! He does it mostly for Hazel and daddy, but it just melts my heart when I see it.

Yesterday we did a little Easter egg hunt in the yard, since it was 76 degrees. The kids still aren't sure who put the eggs in the yard... since it was too early for the Easter bunny...

And we played with some sidewalk chalk of course too...

Well, our life is finally starting to feel a little more 'routine' (if there is such a thing)- and it only took 6 weeks! I had my check up yesterday, and I am recovered (other than being 20 pounds overweight at the moment- but I have lost 30 since I gave birth!) from childbirth, and my mastitis is much better. Wally officially turns 6 weeks old tomorrow, so I guess it is understandable that it may take me a little longer to lose the 50 pounds I gained. But time sure is flying. And, I turn 31 in a month- yikes!

We are starting to think about buying a house, since the process takes a little while sometimes and our lease is up August 1 on the rental. So, soon you'll all hear more about that process- probably more often than you want to... ;)

A couple of cute kiddos! Hazel does this thing lately (and by lately I mean every day!) where she comes out of Gus' room (with his help of course) in HIS clothes, and insists that we call them brothers (big brother, little brother and then Walter is the really little brother). I'm afraid I may have a Tomboy on my hands! Although I was able to get a pink sweatshirt on her in this picture, she is wearing his green shirt and blue striped pajama pants. At least we don't leave the house very often!

Well, love and miss you all! Our plan is to make our first trip back to Iowa the weekend after next over spring break. It is hard to believe that it is spring break time already.

5 weeks old!

This last weekend Kenny and Parker stayed Friday night with us.

Cuddling Cousins!

It hit 70 degrees this week, so we had lunch outside.

And Popsicles

Crazy playtime in the house.

Hazel feeding her Wawa a baba.

She had to wear her boots with this. It did turn out cute though ;)

Daddy and his boys taking an afternoon rest.

Walter, 5 weeks and 1 day

SO Sleepy...

This has been an interesting week. I ended up getting mastitis again, and was so ill for a few days... My temperature hit 103 and I was so achy and had chills, headache, nausea, you name it. NOT fun at ALL. Josh had to stay home to help with the kids on Tuesday and I actually called in sick to work one day- which if you know me- takes ALOT (I barely take time off to have babies!). Hazel woke up completely covered in vomit one morning this week too, so that wasn't a fun way to start that day. Gus and Wally have been really good though. Wow, life is so crazy right now!
