Potty Training?

A cute little lizard with a blue tail has decided to hang out on our house the last few days. He is pretty quick, but I snagged a few photos of him last night.

Diego pull ups!

One of my favorite things to make as a kid were mini pizzas, so we made those last night with Gus. He missed his nap yesterday, so he didn't really get to enjoy eating them (his tantram came just after they went into the oven), but he liked making them.

"Mommy, you're so funny!"

Gus and Hazel playing- sort of :)

We don't have much planned for this week, so this is the perfect time for me to potty train Gus. He is a smart kid, I know he can do this- and two in diapers is not only expensive, but ANNOYING! So, wish us luck, these next two weeks are hardcore potty training time. Today he is wearing pull ups, just to get him back into the swing of things. We tried to train him three months ago, but then Hazel arrived, his eye issue arose, etc, so we decided to push it back a few months til he was a bit more adjusted. Josh is bringing home big boy pants for tomorrow- we'll probably go through about 10 pair a day, but we'll figure it out. If you have any suggestions, let me know. We are using M&Ms and I am basically forcing liquids down him nonstop and having him potty every 30 minutes or so. I'll let you all know how it goes!

Good luck!!!!! The daycare folks use M&Ms and Kamden is very well aware that when he potties in the potty he gets a treat, and when he doesn't then he has to watch all the other kids eat their treats!!! It sure is a slow process with Kamden too. But he goes about 2 times (sometimes 3) on the potty but still has wet diapers. I just hope we're in big boy pants by Christmas!!! That'd be a blessing for sure :) But we'll see, that might be pushing it a little too! Good Luck to you all :) And happy underwear washing *hehe*

Good Luck Tracy......we pretty much have Katelin potty trained and we were just blessed with her she took right to it. My first two were not as easy. We also used M&M's and a lot of praise. Every once in a while she has an off day but for the most part we are accident free anymore. I just hope when our newest arrival gets here any day now we dont regress. Good Luck, i'm sure Gus will do great!!!

Hey Traci.... my cousin used coins... like nickels or dimes choose one and give them one for every time they went in the potty and took one away everytime they had an accident.... that worked for her!
